Why did we build Founding Teams?

We wanted to create a platform where any founder is able to build and market their product with no cash investment. Of course there will be some small expenses such as hosting, SaaS subscriptions etc.

When does the stock options vest?

The stock options will vest upon successful completion of the project deliverable

What is the ideal startup founding team?

It would be good to have a person with the Vision, someone who can Build the product and someone who can Market the product

Do you only focus on AI talent?

No, we plan to add talent with skills in many different categories. For example Full-stack Engineers, UI Designers, Mobile developers etc

Can you hire someone just for equity?

Yes. This was one of the main goals for the platform. We want any person to be able to access great talent for equity and a small fee.

Are all the talent only able to work 16 hours per week?

No. Some talent maybe available to work 40 plus hours per week. You can filter talent by their availability.

Do I have to have clear deliverables?

Yes. However as this is a startup there will be changes along the way. Both the founders and talent need to work together to agree on these changes. You will be adding new features or removing some old ones. Also you may undergo a pivot. None the less talent generally work only 3 to 6 months on a project.

What is deliverable?

Deliverables generally are goals for the talent to achieve. Goals need to be SMART ( Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timebound . Search on google for examples.

How long are projects for the talent?

Projects typically last 3 to 6 months.

What are some of the Reward for talent?

Is there time tracking tools?

Yes. We require all talent to track their hours using our third-party software tool.

How did you come up with the idea of Founding Teams?

I was running my old ecommerce marketplace startup but to be honest I hated networking to find investors. I wanted to focus on building a good product. I hired 1 person for equity then that grew to over 20 people working for equity. It did not always go smoothly however I understood what I need to have in place to ensure talent stayed committed to the projects.

How do I get commited talent?

Interview talent to ensure they understand and are really excited about your vision. Set a small number of clear project deliverables ( SMART goals ), Monitor progress with talent 2-3 times a week. Give great rewards i.e. Cash Bonus at end of project, Macbook Air, Keep projects to 3 to 6 months, highlight there is a lot of uncertainty with startups, Have group team meetings so everyone is aware of company direction and progress.
